Aamir is likely to appear in Anurag Basu’s Kishore Kumar biopic, and is 'fascinated by the filmmaker's approach



Aamir Khan has been offered to star in Anurag Basu's biopic of Kishore Kumar. According to Pinkvilla's source, Aamir and Anurag met multiple times to discuss Kishore for producer Bhushan Kumar before the decision was finalised. The two have had between four and five meetings so far.

Aamir Khan is currently considering six films in various stages of development, each having been written. Kishore Kumar Biopic and Ujjwal Nikam Biopic are already scripted; Rajkumar Santoshi's comedy and Ghajini 2 remain under development. Aamir liked all six of them equally and will make his decision by December. "He plans on shooting three at different time frames and may let go of three others," according to sources.


Kishore Kumar was an iconic playback singer and musician. His songs became immensely popular. Aside from Hindi, his repertoire included Bengali, Marathi, Assamese Gujarati Kannada Bhojpuri Malayalam Odia Urdu as well as Odia. Some of his most celebrated numbers include Ye Raatein Ye Mausam Hum Toh Mohabbat Karega Ae Haseeno Nazneeno Zaroorat Hai Zaroorat Hai Khoobsurat Haseena Gaata Rahe Mera Dil.


Aamir Khan is currently prepping for his next film, Sitaare Zmeen Par, under Aamir Khan Productions' banner and alongside Genelia D'Souza as stars of his Aamir Khan Productions banner. Due for release within months, this will also serve as a producer role alongside Lahore 1947 which stars Sunny Deol, Preity Zinta, Shabana Azmi Karan Deol along with Ali Fazal under Rajkumar Santoshi's direction.
